Description

Pro-Leaf Digital CO2 Controller PPM-B1

The Pro-Leaf PPM-B1 Digital CO2 Controller provides simple and precise control of a 240-volt CO2-generating device with modes for both increasing and decreasing CO2. The controller also features Fuzzy logic operation which offers additional accuracy when utilizing compressed gas for CO2 supplementation.

Adjustable set points range from 400-2000 parts per million with an accuracy of +/-100 PPM and an adjustable deadband. A remote sensor, with 4.5m cable, accurately monitors the gardens PPM levels and relays this information to the controller for display in real-time. An integrated photocell allows for day, night, or continuous operation and the unit records maximum and minimum values for later viewing.

A plug-and-go solution that monitors CO2 concentrations in grow rooms

  • Automatically releases CO2 when needed in order to achieve optimal levels
  • Helps to maximise photosynthesis rates, for faster growth and bigger yields
  • Adjustable setting between 400ppm and 2000PPM
  • Easy to program with a clear display
  • Comes with a built-in photocell to check for dark periods
  • Doesn’t waste CO2 – only doses when necessary
  • Supplied with the parts needed to mount the controller and hang the sensor
  • Comes with a one-year manufacturer’s guarantee for complete peace of mind
  • Can be connected up to a fan, in order to bring CO2 levels down (if necessary)

Why Add CO2?

  • After ensuring that environmental conditions such as moisture and temperature levels are optimal, things can be pushed to the next level by increasing the CO2 content of the air.
  • Plants use CO2 for photosynthesis (sugar production). If CO2 is restricted, so is sugar production.
  • Plants can handle 1000 – 1200PPM of CO2. There’s only around 400 – 450PPM in the air. That’s less than 1/2 the amount they can use!
  • Adding CO2 is one of the easiest ways to ramp up sugar production and increases yields by up to 20%
  • In summer, extra CO2 and also helps plants with heat stress by photosynthesising more

How To Use

  • Press the PPM knob (on the left) to select the PPM setpoint.
  • Press the ‘Deadband’ knob (on the right) and select your deadband level. Deadband determines how far to let the PPM deviate before automatically correcting the situation. The smaller the deadband, the quicker the unit will respond.
  • Choose a ‘Control Mode’ setting using the switch on the bottom right-hand side. ‘PPM Up’ is used when increasing CO2 levels with a gas powered generator. ‘Fuzzy Logic’ should be selected for using a CO2 bottle and regulator. ‘PPM Down’ is used when regulating fans, so that they kick in when CO2 levels get too high (though this is rarely needed for grow rooms).
  • The ‘Max/Min’ feature shows the maximum and minimum PPM levels whilst away from the setup. Click both the left and right buttons simultaneously to view this information.
  • Always keep the controller at least 2.5 metres away from any digital ballasts.
  • The Pro-Leaf PPM-B1 Controller cannot be used alongside a sulfur vapouriser.
